There are many things to do in Crewe, but we thought we’d try and narrow down a list for you. We could only possibly start with Crewe’s famous Lyceum Theatre. It’s an incredible setting for shows and events, with huge spectacular shows such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, as well as intimate academic talks, all appearing within the last few weeks alone. A great place for entertainment, it’s the center of all Crewe’s cultural activities.
For families, Crewe is also blessed with the fabulous Queen’s Park. This is a beautiful green space, with plenty to do for all the family. Gorgeous all year round, it has a boating lake, plenty of play areas and some lovely walks. It’s a great place to spend a few hours.
The Lakemore Farm Park is also a treat for families. Children will love exploring and meeting the animals, and parents will enjoy the tranquil and safe atmosphere for their little ones to play in. It’s an excellent place to explore and play, and with animals aplenty to have fun with.
For parents who want a bit of fun to add to their visit, the Offbeat Brewery is one of the best places to check out. It’s a friendly micro-brewery that has plenty of events around the year, from tastings to full-blown parties. It has gained a reputation as a great venue to explore craft ales as well as more exotic drinks. The team here are relaxed and friendly and work hard to ensure you have a good time. If you’re just interested in food, come for a refreshingly hearty bite to eat.
The Crewe Heritage Centre should also be worth a visit. Full of the true heritage of Crewe with its incredible rail history, there is plenty to see and discover here. The museum was opened by the Queen back in 1987, and ever since then has been telling the story of Crewe’s rich rail heritage.
Crewe has plenty to discover, so when you’re next in the town, spend some time and see what it has to offer.
